CCM - Italy is recruiting a Project Administrator for an emergency intervention in Health to be implemented in Koibatek District, Kenya, one of the Districts mostly affected by the post-electoral crisis.
The position is based in Eldama Ravine, Kenya.
The successful candidate will: - be responsible for the budgetary control and all other financial aspects of the project coordinate project activities and supervise project staff
- Ensure compliance with local regulations in respect of financial and other matters (eg Registration, taxation and labour laws).
- Ensure compliance with the financial requirements of CCM and the donor
- In collaboration with the Project Coordinator will prepare monthly forecast plan of expenses to ensure adequate funds are available to meet programme requirements.
- Prepare budgets revisions and monitor ongoing levels of expenditure as against projects budget lines and provide timely advice of likely over and under spends
- Manage contracts of project local staff
- Ensure contract payments are done according to contract conditions
- provide financial reports as per the requirements of the donor and of CCM Nairobi office
- oversee the financial administration of the project, manage project funds and account for project expenses
- report to the Kenya Country Coordinator and Country Liaison Officer on financial issues.
- take over other duties as requested by the Kenya Country Coordinator.
Qualifications
- In depth knowledge of financial systems, financial/administrative management and reporting - Experience of field financial management
- Previous experience of working in remote locations
- Previous experience with projects funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Italian Cooperation
- Relevant academic background
- 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Perfect knowledge of Italian language
- Good command of both written and spoken English
- Past experience in an NGO will be an advantage.
The duration of the emergency intervention in Koibatek and the funding for this position is 6 months with starting date on the 20th of July.
