Empirically Social Networks are one of the strongest motivators driving people to use the internet and rank highly among the list of most popular sites. This prompted us to consider whether there are any Social Networks specifically for social entrepreneurs? Yes, there are. Below are seven Social Networks you should consider joining. 1. The RSA Fellowship Social Entrepreneurs Network

The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) has been a cradle of enlightenment thinking and a force for social challenges for over 260 years. They have an active membership of over 27,000 fellows from over 80 countries. You can find out about their Social Network here.


2. The Guardian Social Enterprise Network

Back by the national newspaper the Guardian Social Enterprise Network is the largest free online community of social enterprises and social entrepreneurs. It is an open and collaborative platform for organisations of all sizes to discover and share ideas, best practice and expert guidance. 3. The Global Social Entrepreneurship Network

The GSEN is a relatively new platform supported by the Cabinet Office intending to facilitate collaboration between social entrepreneurs and to create more support for grass roots social entrepreneurs. It will become a peer to peer support network for the incubation, development and growth of early stage social entrepreneurs support around the world. 4. The Social Entrepreneur Empowerment Network

This is a Facebook group created for those interested in social entrepreneurship, social enterprise, green business, socially conscious business, and social Change. There are resources available online and registration is free. You can find group’s Facebook page here.


5. The Social Entrepreneurs Meet up Group

Perhaps the group that needs the least explanation as the name says it all. The group boasts an impressive 97,510 members across 235 cities in 45 countries. This group truly has a global presence and significantly you see a breakdown of how many members are in each city and easily discover meetups for you to attend in your city. 6. Social Innovation Exchange (SIX)

SIX is a global community of around 5000 individuals and organisations who are committed to promoting and building the field of social innovation globally. They aim to improve the methods with which our societies find better solutions to challenges such as ageing and climate change through fostering connections and learning. 7. Impact Hub Westminster Yammer Community

Yammer is Impact Hub Westminster’s social network, launched in January 2014 to support our growing community engaged in creating sustainable positive social and/or environmental impact. Growing every week, Yammer allows members to search, connect and collaborate with each other and make use of the untapped collective knowledge of the community.
